What is Youth MOJO's Summer Program?
Youth MOJO is a youth leadership development program at Chinese Progressive Association for Chinese high school students in San Francisco. We work on social issues affecting working class families such as healthcare, education, and workers’ rights by empowering young people to work towards positive change in our communities. Through Youth MOJO, you’ll develop and strengthen leadership, public speaking, communication, advocacy, and organizing skills while having fun and meeting new friends in a friendly and engaging environment.

Youth MOJO's Summer Program runs from May 30, 2012 to August 15, 2012 on Tuesdays 1:30pm to 5:00pm; Wednesdays 1:30pm to 4:30pm; and Thursdays 11:00am to 2:00pm* (*Meeting times will be confirmed by April 15, 2012). Food and refreshments provided. You will earn volunteer hours & community experience for your participation.

Applications are due by Friday, April 27, 2012 by 6:30pm. We may contact you by phone for a follow up interview. We will notify you by phone and email if you are accepted to Youth MOJO’s Summer Program by May 4, 2012.

The Youth Leadership Retreat
To kick off Youth MOJO, we have the annual Youth Leadership Retreat on 6/4/12 to 6/7/12--a 4 day 3 nights youth training at the Point Montara Lighthouse Hostel (near Half Moon Bay). During this retreat, you will get a jump-start on learning about the issues affecting our communities and start developing the skills to make positive change throughout the summer and more. The cost to attend is $25, which will cover ALL lodging, meals, and transportation for the 4 day 3 nights retreat. Retreat space is limited, so please apply fast!
