Project Manager and Executive Assistant

Alizarin Menninga-Fong is the Project Manager and Executive Assistant to the Deputy Director at Chinese Progressive Association. In this role, Alizarin supports Operations at CPA. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, Alizarin studied Mandarin in Taiwan after living and working in Minneapolis, MN. There, she worked as a Community Health Worker and used her free time to activate arts-based organizing. Since 2014, she co-administered the Million Artist Movement using art as an agent to coalesce people, art, and power into change; coordinated the Twin Cities People of Color and Indigenous Peoples’ Figure Drawing and Painting Group; and created graphic design content for the Yarn Mission for Black Liberation. She identifies as a queer mixed race Chinese-American woman who grew up in Oak Park, IL.
