Flora Luo is a Community Organizer with Chinese Progressive Association. In her work, Flora engages with limited English speaking community members, cultivating their empowerment to live self-sufficiently with good jobs and adequate housing. Concurrently, she coordinates community events to converse with community members on campaigns and issues that impact their rights and values. She is a founding member of CPA’s youth organizing program, Youth Movement of Justice and Organizing (Youth MOJO) Program, which develops leadership skills and empowers youth to make community-based changes. Flora grew up in the Bay Area and has been engaged in youth organizing since high school.
