Le Tim Ly is the Deputy Director of Chinese Progressive Association. Le has over twenty years of experience in the social justice movement, beginning with his work with Youth United for Community Action (YUCA) in East Palo Alto fighting for environmental justice and affordable housing. As a staff member of the Partnership for Immigrant Leadership and Action (PILA), Le developed and implemented technical assistance and capacity building programs for a number of grassroots organizations throughout the Bay Area. Over the years, he has developed a strong background in program development, organizational development, leadership development, and community organizing, which he uses to bring together and grow CPA’s work. At CPA, he has been instrumental in developing an organizing and membership model for youth work, founding and developing the Eva Lowe Fellowship Program and Seeding Change programs, and expanding CPA’s integrated voter engagement work. Le also founded and continues to manage buildthewheel.org, an online curriculum-sharing resource for organizers and activists. He has served on the boards of Youth United for Community Action (YUCA) and the Gay Straight Alliance (GSA) Network.
