Susan Kikuchi (she/they)

Worker Movement Building and Alliance Manager

As the Worker Movement Building and Alliance Manager, Susan builds power with the member organizations of the Workers’ Rights Community Collaborative to raise workplace standards in San Francisco and ensure that workers have a voice in the enforcement of laws that protect them. Susan brings 6 years organizing experience, most recently at Centro de Trabajadores Unidos en la Lucha in Minneapolis, MN, where she organized low wage workers towards anti wage theft policy. Her work is informed by the teachings of grassroots leaders in the labor and housing rights struggles in the Midwest.

As a yonsei (4th generation Japanese American), she hopes to visibilize the experiences of Asian Americans, particularly women and LGBT people, while building solidarity across race, culture, class, and generations. Susan moonlights as a journalist and illustrator, and is a passionate cat parent. Her favorite book is Kiese Laymon’s Heavy.
